Helping disadvantaged homeowners with emergency plumbing, air conditioning and heating services.

In July of 2024, Las Vegas experienced a record-breaking heat wave with seven consecutive days of temperatures at or above 115°F. This broke the previous record set in July 2005. The heat wave also included other record-breaking temperatures, including 120°F on Sunday, July 8, 2024, which was the first time in recorded history that Las Vegas had reached that temperature. In Clark County a reliable air conditioner is not just for comfort, but for safety as well.
As homes age water supply lines, plumbing fixtures, drainage systems, and especially air conditioners degrade and fail, compelling homeowners to contend with expensive repairs. For our senior and disadvantaged neighbors these costs can be prohibitive, forcing people in the community to live in unsafe and unsanitary conditions.
Plumbers, Pipefitters, & HVAC/R Service Technicians Local 525 have dedicated ourselves to using our skills and resources to help those in need. That is why we established the Union Community Service Fund (UCSF).
We have a network of skilled and trained volunteers who can assess a problem and work on a solution, either by performing the work themselves or calling in a licensed contractor when necessary. Our goal is to fund the repair of the plumbing, air conditioning, and sanitary systems of Clark County residents who are facing an emergency and cannot afford the repairs themselves.
Every day, county commissioners, city councilmembers, and community leaders are contacted by underprivileged constituents in need of home safety system repairs. The UCSF is the organization community leaders and elected officials can refer their constituents to in their time of need.
The Union Community Service Fund is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization and contributions are tax-deductible. Our EIN is 99-4217955
